Kathleen Diallo


GALLUP — Funeral services for Kathleen Mae Diallo, 48, will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 22, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. Brother Gardener will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.

Diallo died April 13, 2011, in Gallup. She was born April 18, 1963, in Gallup, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Zuni People Clan.

Survivors include her husband, Algassimo Diallo; daughters, Jolene Cook, Zarinah Diallo; sister, Esther Willie, Etta Johnson; brothers, Harrison Johnson, Bennie Begay Jr., all of Superman Canyon.

Diallo was preceded in death by her son, Malcolm Nez; parents, Mary and Wilbert Johnson; brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Steven Johnson; sisters, Linda Begay, Betty Johnson, Lorraine Johnson, Cecelia Johnson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 107 E. Jefferson St., following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

LaVerne Ebright

BLUEWATER — Memorial services for LaVerne “Nana” Ebright, 72, will be at a later date.

Ebright died April 15, 2011, in Bluewater.
Survivors include her husband, Everette “Papa” Eugene Ebright; sons, Bill Ebright, Allen Ebright, Eddie Ebight; daughter, Jeanie Fanning, Mary James; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Ebright was preceded in death by her parents, Orville Weatherfield, Odessa Sikes.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

William Frohlich

HARDROCK — Graveside services for William R. Frohlich, 35, will be 11 a.m., April 23, at Hard Rock, Ariz. Private disposition will be in private family plot, Hard Rock. Visitation will be 11 a.m., April 23, at graveside.

Frohlich died April 17, 2011, in Grants. He was born Sept. 12, 1975, in Tucson, into the Tangle Root People Clan for the Anglo People Clan.
Frohlich graduated from Grants High School. He was a floor installer, laborer and loved to spend time with family and friends. He loved fishing, reading, auto mechanics, helping others and listening to music.

Survivors include his parents, August Frohlich Sr., Daisy Frohlich, both of Gallup; brothers, James Yellowhorse of Eugene, Org., Ron Yellowhorse of Hard Rock, Raymond Frohlich of San Francisco, August Frohlich Jr. of Grants, Michael Frohlich of Phoenix; sisters, Angelita Dougi of Navajo Mountain, Daurice Cotnoir of Santa Barbara, Calif., Karen Yellowhorse of Albuquerque; grandmother, M


Pallbearers will be August Frohlich Jr., Kenny Snyder, Toby Quintana, Ron Yellowhorse, Brandon Johnson, Tex Herrera.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Mary C. Yazzie’s residence, following services.

Paul Montoya

MESA — Funeral services for Paul “Ron” Ronald Montoya, 63, will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 25, at St. Frances Church, Gallup. The Rev. Patrick will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallup. A Rosary will be recited 10 a.m., April 25, at St. Frances.

Montoya died April 16, 2011, in Phoenix. He was born July 1, 1947, in Gallup.

Montoya graduated from Gallup High in 1967. He worked at Walmart in Mesa, Ariz., for 5 years in the garden center. He served in the Navy from 1967-1974, where he was honorably discharged and served time in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his daughters, Raquel Montoya, Mary Gutierrez Schrimsher, Nancy Piano; brother, Anthony Montoya; sister, Debra Cordova; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Montoya was preceded in death by his parents, Serafine and Matty Montoya; grandparents, Alfonsa and Daniel Montoya, Pablita and Jesus Mazon.

Pallbearers will be John Schrimsher, Ronnie Rodriguez, Luis Mendoza, Mike Chavez, Felipe Clemente, Sherie Moya.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Lions Clubs, Gallup, following services.

Jesusita Romo

GALLUP — Jesusita “Jessie” Romo died Saturday, April 16, 2011.

Romo was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching golf, basketball and football and proudly wore green and gold and cheered on the Green Bay Packers, as well as the Denver Broncos. She has spent the past year residing in Wisconsin with her daughter.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Romo of Denver, Colo., Veronica Dotzauer of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Geraldine Higgins of Port Arthur, Texas; brother, Cruz Aranda; sister, Eleanor Arellano of Gallup.

Romo was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Romo; mother, Ramona Balderrama; sister, Esther Baldonado.
